Bath Insulation
In the Netherlands, everything is insulated in new homes and bathrooms. This includes the hot water pipe to the bath, but the bath itself is usually not insulated. As a result, the bath water quickly loses its temperature. Then one has to get out of the bath - or add more hot water. This uses energy - and precious drinking water. For this - and other reasons - TONZON came up with bath insulation. It’s both environmentally friendly and energy-saving.
A bathtub insulated with this insulating material will actually retain heat better. The water stays pleasantly warm for at least an hour. And this already saves you 33% of the energy costs. So bath insulation is friendly to both the environment and your wallet.
The bath insulation consists of a TONZON thermos cushion. The thermos cushion is like an air bag made of reflective foil. This combination of reflective foil and motionless air inside the cushion makes it easy to create an effective insulation layer around your bath. The pack includes a cushion that's 70cm wide x 8 metres long. If you want to make sure that this is enough for your bathtub, measure the circumference of your tub and the length at its base. If these measurements are in total less than 7.5 m, this package should be sufficient. Otherwise, it is possible to order a larger thermos cushion of the required size.
