Insulated walls are essential for a comfortable, sustainable home
Rooms in which you spend a lot of time should be cosy and warm in winter - and as cool as possible in summer. Properly insulated outer walls make this easy to achieve. In most cases, the best way to do this is by installing a dry liner. A dry liner is lightweight and therefore heats up quickly. Moreover, wall insulation contributes to soundproofing the walls, damping much of the outside noise.
The TONZON system
TONZON materials insulate walls excellently. The TONZON system can be applied to dry liners and partition walls. Facades and prefabricated walls can also be fitted with this insulation. The system consists of layers of TONZON Thermosheet foil, separated by a batten framework. This creates an insulating layer consisting of foil and motionless air. The best way to get the most effective insulation.
Why TONZON?
With TONZON Wall Insulation, high insulation values can be achieved - with the least loss of space. The insulation material itself hardly ages at all, so a dry liner with TONZON is extremely durable. TONZON insulation also requires very little material. A roll of Thermosheet small enough to fit on a bicycle’s carrier is enough to insulate an entire wall. So you avoid lugging around large sheets of insulation material. Because it requires so little material, TONZON is also one of the most climate-efficient ways to insulate your wall.
- Insulation is built up in layers.
- Requires little material
- The most people-friendly and environment-friendly solution.
- Increase the return on your investment.
- Prevent moisture.
Insulating a cavity wall
It is unfortunately not possible to insulate an existing cavity wall with TONZON. Insulating a cavity wall will, in any event, only provide limited additional insulation effect, as the cavity width is too narrow to meet today's insulation requirements. I order to save substantially on energy, or make a space energy-neutral, it is advisable to install an insulated dry liner. DIY? Go ahead. Wall insulation with TONZON is easy.

Frequently asked questions
For your convenience
Contained, motionless air provides good insulation. With TONZON Thermos Cushions, motionless air is trapped in the air cushions on installation. While wall insulation requires airtight layers. These layers of air are separated when the insulating foil is mounted, and this provides insulation.
To prevent condensation on the foil and deterioration of battens and woodwork, the first layer of insulation is an air layer. This is achieved by mounting cold bridge breakers (moisture-insensitive blocks of XPS). The first Thermosheet is then glued to the cold bridge breakers. See the page below for more instructions.

With TONZON Wall Insulation, you always start with an air cavity. This is created using pressure-resistant plastic insulation blocks, that are impervious to moisture. Thanks to the air cavity, a damp area cannot wet the insulation material and the moisture can evaporate. If wooden battens are used for the first layer, the wood should be treated first. In addition, any grouting should be in good condition, so that moisture penetration is kept to a minimum.
